Charlie Wolfe
I’m blessed to have a friend like you. Despite not being in geographic proximity other than college, we always find a way to connect and pick up where we left off. My business trips to Madison, your trips back to Michigan, letters, emails and phone calls all keep the friendship going.
I admire you for a number of things. Top of the list is your dedication to your family. I see this in the annual Christmas Wolfe family write-up (done by Jen!) I look forward to receiving every year. You and Jen provide your girls with wonderful experiences through vacations and activities. It’s amazing how much meaningful and creative things your family does in a year. You prioritize your family and it shows in your children. It was an honor to attend Kailani’s graduation and meet this incredible person I’ve been hearing about for so many years.
You’re a hard working guy. Seems like you are the catalyst and glue that keeps the business going strong. You somehow maintain a consistently positive attitude no matter what is going on, always keeping a level head and figuring out a challenging problem. We worked on two projects in college and both were memorable experiences. Yes, they were fun because it was audio and video production. But what made it great was your commitment to working hard and bringing your patience and creativity to the process. We dragged all the video gear (old school VHS recorders, wish we just had iPhones!) into clubs late at night to film the Restroom Poets playing live. Plus all the onsite interviews. Some serious planning, logistics and late nights in the editing studio. But fun throughout, which is why I have such fond memories.
Finally, I love your sense of adventure when planning vacations. You and Jen always find someplace interesting to visit, doing cool things and meeting new people. Such a variety ranging from camping nearby to a major excursion across the country, you mix it up and find new and fresh ways to unplug, unwind and create priceless memories.
Thanks for alway sending such wonderful emails about my creative projects. You take the time to write something genuine, personal and heartfelt. One note like that means more to me than ever having a hit single song!
Looking forward to our continued friendship and getting together more often.
